Sasha Sergieiev laces a top acid while Sebastian Michalski laces a scorpion handstand
“Staten Island is a borough of New York City, New York, United States, located in the southwest part of the city.” Now that I’ve filled the first sentence with a copy and paste job from Wikipedia I can now start the story about our journey to Staten Island and how we did not find one good ledge the whole day. Sebastian Michalski aka White Murda, Sasha Sergieiev aka Papa Sasha, and myself aka me, drove out to the island to film new spots and forgotten spots.

Lets Roll NY Session Eight Tomorrow!
September 1, 2009This week is looking beautiful and the anticipation for the weekend grows greater with every day that passes. Adding to the excitement, Victor Callender and Wheels In Motion will be throwing yet another Lets Roll NY session with a very special guest. Who is it? You’ll have to come and join us at 59th Street Columbus Circle, tomorrow (wednesday), at 5pm to find out. You can take the 1, 2, A, B, C, and D train to 59th street Colombus Circle. The second spot will be the ledges on 44th street and 12th avenue, which was covered on I Roll NY previously. Bring your skates to school/work and make sure you come out! It will definitely be worth it.

As usual Angelo Ferrer of the Art of Rolling comes through with a great photo set from last weeks LRNY Session in Staten Island. A ton of New York’s finest skaters came out to show their support, enjoyed the local spots, and witnessed all of the amazing skating that went down at the popular stadium rails and ledges located at the Staten Island Yankee stadium. See all the photos from last week at the Art of Rolling website. See some of my personal favorites after the jump.

Lets Roll NY Session Seven Announced! Happening Tomorrow!
August 25, 2009This week’s LRNY session will take place tomorrow at 5:00PM in Staten Island, NY at the boardwalk ledges located downhill from where the ferry will leave you. If you’re unfamiliar with the ferry location and schedule, check out the Staten Island South Ferry information and schedule here. There are plenty of trains that will leave you in walking distance from the Staten Island Ferry location in Manhattan. You can take the R and W train to Whitehall street, the 1 and 9 train to South Ferry, the 4 and 5 train to Bowling Green, and the J, M, and Z train to Broad Street. After getting off the Ferry, walk down the Viaduct to Richmond Terrace. Head right on Richmond Terrace until you hit the stadium and then go down hill until you hit the boardwalk (Walking directions here.) No word on what the second spot will be but most likely it will be the Stadium or somewhere near by. The session starts at 5 and we will be waiting until 6:30 for late arrivals to the first spot so make sure to be on time.

Friday the 13th is supposed to be a scary day where you stay in your house and expect the worst to happen…or so I’m told. Ignoring this theory that I just made up, myself (Craig) along with some friends from the Bronx, Staten Island, Long Island and of course Brooklyn went out and enjoyed a night session in the downtown area of Manhattan. We ended up in the famous Brooklyn Banks where I was able to snap a few pics of what went down. Check out the pics below.
