No word on when the newly built plaza will be officially open to the public but it looks great! “Rockaway Skatepark in New York is complete! California Skateparks was a specialty skatepark contractor, and Site Design Group was the skatepark designer for this 15,700 square foot project. The skaters of New York received a skatepark plaza style with some smooth transitions. California Skateparks is excited to bring their 8th skatepark to New York. The Art of Rolling is throwing a session at the Rockaway skatepark in Queens, NY this Sunday August 8, 2010 from 12:00PM – 5:00PM. Due to the location of the skatepark, Rockaway is a rarely skated spot but AOR is asking everyone to come out and shred with the locals and expose them to our popular NYC scene.
