Spring 2010 Edit

April 8, 2010

Jeffrey Mateo returns with a dope edit featuring some great NYC and Long Island footage. Skating from Julian Chase, Cody Gee, Jeffrey Mateo, Dave Lang, Austin Croteau, Sean Grossman, Quang Trinh, Malik Ashby, Alex Ryerson, Evan Grimball, John Estrella, and Kevin Cintron.

For three years now, I have been studying out in Long Island as well as skating. However, at one point, I was accused of disregarding the city scene. So, in this edit, I tried to bring in both parts: Long Island and New York City. I had some trouble editing this piece because of the music; I essentially had trouble mixing the songs, so I took random samples and mixed it together. I don’t really think this edit is good but it shows some good skating, which at the end of the day is the most important part of the edit. I am not sure exactly what I will be doing this summer, but I really want to produce an edit that is somewhat on a very professional level. So on that note, I would like to give a shout to to Austin Croteau; Kid laced all of this tricks first try, and I want to shout out I Roll NY for making New York the best place to be when it comes to rollerblading. Lastly, I might be going to Ohio this summer, so expect footage from Ohio. Thanks everyone who helped me film this. By the way no more 24p edits! – Jeffrey Mateo.
