The Last Man Standing DVD premiere took place last Friday at the Maysles Cinema in the Harlem area of Manhattan, NY. Besides the video premiere there was also a p-rail session that took place in front of the theater which drew a huge crowd and exposed the neighborhood to blading. Today is the official DVD screening of the Last Man Standing competition at the Maysles Cinema located at 343 Lenox Avenue ( Malcolm X Boulevard ) New York, NY 10027. The Maysles Cinema is located between 127th and 128th Street so keep your eyes peeled for it. The number 2 and 3 trains go to 125th street and leave you closest to the theater.
Doors open from 6:00PM – 10:00PM. The screening will be from 8:00PM – 9:00PM. There will be a $5 Entrance fee and if you would like a copy of the LMS DVD they will be selling for $20 a copy. In addition to the DVD screening there will also be free popcorn for everybody and you can’t have a premiere without some kind of session afterward so there will also be a p-rail session going down as well. NYC come out and show support!

Rolling Film Media, Skate Life Pro-Motion, and Ray Mendez brings us an edit from NYC’s Signature premiere. For those of you who couldn’t make it out to the premiere check out what you missed. You can get your copy of Signature at the online store or at Tri-State Skate. “The edit was filmed and Narrated by Ray Mendez at the Signature DVD World Premiere Feb. 21st in NYC. The edit was produced by Jason Staine of Rolling Film Media. The audio track was created by NYC Legend Jon Ortiz.”

Photographer Ryan Loewy sends in a late entry of his photos from The Truth 2 premiere in NYC. Ryan not only caught a few flicks from the premiere but also wrote a great summary wrapping up the premiere. “When I had heard that Austin Paz and the Kelso Brothers were holding the World Premiere for The Truth II in New York, there was no doubt that I was attending. Two days before the premiere, I headed up to Boston to pick up my good friend and fellow blader, Michael Marston, for the winter break” – Ryan Loewy. The Truth 2 premiere last Friday was definitely a great event to witness and be apart of. Earlier in the week, Cesar Macay sent some great photos of the crowd and I posted up some behind the scenes photos of the premiere via the I Roll NY Facebook page. Today photographer Andrey Piontkovski sends us some skating photos from the premiere. You’ve seen the crowd, now see the tricks! As well, Yesterday I received the word from one of the main coordinators, Austin Paz, that there will be an official edit from the premiere some time soon. Friday, December 18th 2009, a crowd gathers in the SOHO area of New York, NY. This isn’t your typical gathering of hipsters or college students who normally patrol the area though. This is something completely different. Groups of kids arrive in front of the St. Patrick Youth Center in beat up clothes and rollerblades on their feet waiting in anticipation in the cold winter weather for the biggest premiere in NYC this year. The most anticipated film of the year (technically two years) will premiere today! Skate Life Pro-Motion and Create Originals are presenting The Truth 2 for your viewing pleasure today starting at 6:00pm at the St. Patrick Youth Center in Manhattan, NY! I Roll NY will be handing out early holiday gifts (limited quantity) for Create Original supporters at the premiere so make sure to say hi if you’ve got a pair of CO’s. Bring your friends, family, and skates with you tonight to session before and after the screening. Remember there is a $5 entrance fee with proceeds going to Cozmik’s family fund.
