Valo Team in NYC + Lets Roll Session May 13th

The Valo team will be visiting New York City from May 9th until May 23rd filming for their newest video. Erik Bailey, Alex Broskow, Brandon Smith, Franco Cammayo, Ivan Narez, Jon Julio, and Victor Arias will all be here skating our local spots. There will also be a Lets Roll NY session with the team this upcoming Friday, May 13th at the Pier 62 skatepark. Info on the flyer up top and below.

Pier 62 Skatepark Closed From 10/18 – 10/21

This will not effect the Battle at Pier 62 taking place October 24. “Just wanted to give everyone a heads-up that the Hudson River Park Pier 62 Skate Park will be closed on Monday, October 18 through Thursday, October 21 for maintenance and construction. We hope that the work will actually be done by the 20th, but need to build in an extra day for potential weather delays” – David Katz. Check out the Hudson River Park website for more updates.

Battle at Pier 62 Sunday October 24th

Date: October 24th, 2010
Time: 12:00PM Registration starts.
         1:30PM Registration ends.
         2:00PM Competition starts.
Fee: $10 to enter.
Format: Series of 1 on 1 battles.
            5 tricks per battle on any obstacle chosen in the park.
            Winners of each battle face each other until there is one
            winner left at the end of the day.
Prizes: First/Second/Third split the total amount of the
           entrance money.
           Fourth and fifth get their $10 back.
Location: Pier 62 Skatepark (22nd street and 12th ave.)
Train Directions: C or E train to 23rd street/8th ave.

Remz and Psyko clothing are doing a best trick contest tomorrow, August 27th at 5:30PM taking place at the Pier 62 skatepark in Manhattan, NY. The park is located on West 22nd street and 12th avenue. Walk past the Chelsea piers building into the park area until you see the skatepark. The trains that will leave you closest to the area is the C and E train to 23rd street/8th avenue. You may also take the A train if it is running local. Walking directions from the train to 12th avenue here.
