Brian Keohane – TTS. First Place at Cozmik’s Memorial Session.
On September 12, 2014 New York City bladers arrived at Pier 25 skate plaza to celebrate Brian “Cozmik” Scott’s birthday. Local blader Jordan Baez organized the day’s session and contest in Brian’s honor. We spent the early afternoon skating the plaza and kicking off the contest, then made our way to street spots, ending the session / competition at the L.E.S. skatepark where Brian Keohane came out victorious. Followed by Eddie Chung taking 2nd place and Terrence Henrey taking 3rd. Photos from the session can be seen below featuring the top 3 winners of the competition as well as James Perez, Sebastian Michalski, Arismendy Canela, Chris DeJesus, and Jordan Baez. A big thanks to Roller Warehouse for sponsoring the session.

“Austin and I decided to take the camera out about an hour before the skate park was closing and started filming what was going to be a single clip of the day, but for some reason the clips didn’t stop. we then ended up at some ledges in the LES with Sal that was skating with us and also helped out with the camera and yea, we had fun and got clips” – Pablo Munoz.

We all know today sucks. It’s been raining all day and everyone’s bragging about being at Bitter Cold where they’re sitting with a bunch of strange men getting drunk doing borderline homosexual activities they’ll be scared to tell their grandchildren about. But I digress, yesterday was awesome. If you didn’t have any responsibilities or obligations and you had the ability to maneuver your fat feet into your rollerblades then you should’ve been out blading. 60 degree weather in NYC is awesome by itself, but 60 degree weather in the middle of February is even more awesome. It’s something I like to call “awesomore.”

“James Perez has been on a skating hiatus due to his recent pursuit of a college education and currently working a full time job. Luckily, I was able to meet up with James during his only day off last week for a brief session at the Pier 25 skate plaza located in Manhattan, NY. James dusted off the cobwebs from his blades and quickly got back into the skating rhythm as we managed to beat the the rain, clouds, and park closing” – Jasepi Calamari.

“On April 9th, Hyper Mike held a competition at the Pier 25 skate park in Manhattan. The turnout for this battle style/jam session competition was great. Skaters from all over the Tri-State and NYC came out to watch the one on one battles and session the park. Among these bladers were Franco Cammayo, Hector “Tato” Gonzalez and special guest Dominik Wagner who came out to experience the NYC skate scene in full effect. Enjoy this edit by Sam DeAngelis and stay tuned for more competitions from hypermikenyc.com all Spring/Summer long!” – Sam DeAngelis. See more photos from the competition on Be-Mag.
