First and foremost we’d like to let everyone know that Fabio Enes is doing alright after his injury during yesterday’s competition. He fractured his skull and we wish him a speedy recovery. Due to police shutting down the competition before it was officially over, winners had to be chosen solely by the judges and were announced during the after party. See the results below.
Third Place: Montre Livingston and Diego Guilloud
Second Place: Alex Broskow
First Place: John Bolino

The title kind of says it all actually. This edit created by Htat Htut brings you a totally different look and feel to the huge contest that went down last Saturday. A lot of production and technique went into this edit which creates a more cinematic feel than any other contest edit seen so far. Featuring skating from Dave Lang, David Sizemore, Jeff Stockwell, John Bolino, Franco Cammayo and Kyle Sola. “As we all know, everyone was in everyone’s way so this is what I was able to capture. Plus, so many edits covering the event anyways so enjoy this slow pace edit” – Htat Htut.

“We weren’t suppose to cover this competition but a good friend was awesome enough to hook up the media pass. Immediately when looking at the obstacles, the NY Invitational sets it self apart from all other comps. Offering unique spots to skate like an old beat up Cadillac, constructions tubes, U-haul trailer, and a huge dumpster to name a few. Not to mention that this comp was very reminiscent of the old IMYTA competitions. The obstacles were all put together by the craftsmanship of Jose Disla & the C.O. team along with other NY locals that showed up the day of construction to support and offer a helping hand. New York owes such a great competition to the Bernal Heights Collective–a medicinal marijuana shop from San Francisco whom sponsored the events large prize” – ODNY.
