“I would never in a million years fathom anyone attempting this trick. Back in April of this year the Valo team came into NYC to film for Valo “Five.” I contacted Jon Julio to see what his plans were and he replied with an invitation to come out for the day and shoot with the team. As I met the guys at LES park they were already scoping the area for tricks.

Erik Bailey was checking out this huge gap to ledge and decided he would charge it at full speed. The first couple of attempts ended with him rolling like a log across the blacktop for ten feet but somehow coming out unscathed each time. Finally, after setting up my flashes, I caught this shot just in time. He flew at this Disaster Mute Grab to Back Royale as Victor Arias caught the clip. This shot was taken with my Canon T2i at 1/160, f6.3, 400, with flashes placed bottom left and top right” – Sam DeAngelis.

Valo in the Streets Session Photos

Last weekend members of the Valo team held a session at the famous court house ledges in the downtown Manhattan area to film for their latest project Valo V. Although the rain kept the session to a minimum a lot of big tricks went down from both the Valo crew and local NYC skaters. See all the photos below. Valo Team in NYC + Lets Roll Session May 13th

The Valo team will be visiting New York City from May 9th until May 23rd filming for their newest video. Erik Bailey, Alex Broskow, Brandon Smith, Franco Cammayo, Ivan Narez, Jon Julio, and Victor Arias will all be here skating our local spots. There will also be a Lets Roll NY session with the team this upcoming Friday, May 13th at the Pier 62 skatepark. Info on the flyer up top and below.

First Look at the Valo X Loco Skateshop Skates

The Valo 4 Life blog updated their tour page with some new photos including two pictures of Erik Bailey skating with the new collaboration skates from Valo Brand and Loco Skateshop. The Valo X Loco skates features a black and grey skin with yellow highlights. The skates also include black midsouls with white soul plates. More info when the skates are officially released.
