April 27, 2016

NYSS Astoria Jam Winners

Sunday, April 24th the New York Skate Series kicked off their 2016 season with a jam session at the Astoria skatepark sponsored by Rollerblade. There was a great turnout and it was a great way to bring in the good weather and reunite with the friends we haven’t seen in a while.

First place winner Augusto Castillo – X Grind

As the competition portion of the jam session came to an end, the judges had a tough decision separating first and second place, but a decision was made and Augusto Castillo came out on top, taking first place. Augusto won a voucher for a free pair of Rollerblade brand skates along with prize money. Joey Lunger and Trevor Johnson followed Augusto taking 2nd and 3rd place with Rollerblade soft goods, frames, and prize money. Check out our photo coverage below and see all the photos on the NYSS Facebook page.
