“I was in Rochester, NY for a week of blading, hanging out, and raging with some of the best guys out there. On one of the days there, everyone decided to go out to this skatepark in a town called Sweden. It was a chill skatepark, pretty much in the middle of nowhere. This pic was taken of Grant Hazelton. He is very good at park and just kills it all around. After seeing him getting some sweet airs from the quarter, I decided to whip out my camera and take some pics. I noticed the sunset in the far distance and thought it could work out for a great silhouette with all that light coming out behind him. After taking a few shots and setting the camera just right, I got this photo of Grant with a tweaked mute air. “I headed out to McCarren skatepark/pool in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, to meet up with James Perez, and a few others, so that we could take some photos. When we arrived, we had to climb over a fence to get into the pool area where the rail was. After a few warm up tricks, James laced a few back savannahs back-to-back every time. I think this was the best of them. Nikon D200, Promaster 17-50 2.8 at 17mm F5, 1/250 iso 100, Nikon sb26 at camera left, sunpak 544 at camera right” – Drew Humphrey.

Check the latest ONE Photo Journal taken by Brooklyn, NY photographer Drew Humphrey out in Virginia. “I took a trip down to Richmond, Virginia, for a weekend. On my second day there we took a journey to find this ditch, which was by some bridge. It took some driving around, but we found it. When we first noticed the part with the wallride, Eddie Chung was all about landing something alley-oop. After a few warm up runs getting used to it, Eddie landed this sweet AO Wallride 180 out. Bitter Cold Show Down Journal Day 1

As we all know this weekend is the most exciting weekend of the month. Bitter Cold Show Down, one of the biggest competitions of the year, will be taking place in Detroit, Michigan. Though many New Yorker’s made the journey out to Detroit in today’s blizzard a lot of us unfortunately could not. For those of us that couldn’t make it to BCSD this year, photographers Ryan Loewy and Drew Humphrey have taken on the task of documenting their trip to Bitter Cold Show Down and sharing their story with all of us bringing BCSD directly to you! Brooklyn, NY’s Drew Humphrey has received his third ONE Magazine Photo Journal featuring Stefan Brandow at the Brooklyn Banks. “Stefan Brandow was in town for the Last Man Standing comp back in September and I wanted to get a few shots of him. Before the comp started we decided to go off to this box that they have at the banks and I told him he should try hitting it from the outside part of the angle iron.
