Sorry for the late notice but the session wasn’t finalized until yesterday. If you were at yesterday’s pizza session you got first word that the second Lets Roll NY session of the year will take place tomorrow at 2:00PM in Owl’s Head park at the Millennium skate park. A helmet is most likely required to skate the park so don’t forget yours. Take the R train to Bayridge Avenue and walk to the park. More information and directions on the above flyer and below.

This week’s C.O.W. is brought to us by Chris “Kixx” Cofer of Evo-Tek Media giving us a sneak peak of what we’ll be seeing from the Last Man Standing 2009 DVD. “We have been shooting and editing the LMS DVD for the past few months. The project as a whole has gone through a lot of drafts but is due out very very soon. Not only will the DVD feature highlights from the competition but also interviews, montages, and behind the scenes footage so its really going to be a decent package that tells more of a story than just showing a competition” – Chris Cofer. Stay tuned for Last Man Standing DVD updates and enjoy the sneak peak Clip of the Week!

Earlier in the month Htat Lin Htut contacted I Roll NY to create a small feature for Parsons The New School of Design. What started out as a commercial became a short documentary of a session held at McCarren Park Pool in Brooklyn, NY. The edit sets a great tone and vibe for the beautiful weather we’ve been having while giving a different perspective and inside look of what a usual NYC session entails. Filmed and edited by Htat Lin Htut featuring Damian Michalski, James Perez, Yannes Sootes and other local skaters.

March 21, 2010“This is a quick over view, via iphone video, of how we made the wheat paste, shot the ad, and what the printouts look like…Behind the scenes of a drunken last night with Billy in Manhattan. We had gone out to Continental for shots and then karaokeeeeeee until 4am. Too done to make things straight, sloppy execution on the cop watch, but 9 minutes and we were done. NOT how you should do it. *Don’t do this at home…
